1960年北京大学物理专业毕业留校，分配到地球物理系，参与创建天体物理（后称天文）专业。主讲磁-等离子体物理、电磁波在磁-等离子体中的传播和射电天文学，到1970年。
1970-1981年，机械部通用机械研究所。人造金刚石研究室主任,负责“超高压（50-80吨/平方厘米）高温设备和金刚石人工合成研究”项目。撰写论文，“六面顶液压机等压供液与等积供液分析”、“六面顶液压机六个顶锤的同步分析”、“高压腔内的温度分布与边界温度控制”、“大颗粒人造金刚石合成工艺研究”等。该项目荣获1978年全国科技大会奖,在上海、北京、贵州、河北、陕西等多个省市进行了推广。全国现有100多家企业从事人造金刚石生产。
1981-1994年，机械部北京印刷机械研究所。技术副所长兼自动化研究室主任，直接负责“卷筒纸印刷机纸带张力的测试与控制”(获机械部二等奖)、“胶辊跳动的非接触测量”(获机械部三等奖)、“多色套印误差的测量与统计分析”等课题。撰写论文，“卷筒纸给纸机纸带张力方程组与张力扰动传递函数”、“浮动辊对纸带张力扰动的惯性补偿作用”、“多色套印误差的分析”、“胶辊径向跳动测量方法与检测仪器研究”等。1986年机械部授予教授级高级工程师职称。
1990年-现在，中国印刷及设备器材工业协会。曾任常务副秘书长、秘书长、副会长兼秘书长、常务副会长。主持协会日常工作多年，为会员服务，为协会的发展做了一些有成效的事情。

1960 graduated from Physics Specialty of Peking University and started work at Astrophysics Specialty of Geophysics Department. Taught Magnet-Plasma Physics, Electromagnetic Waves Transmit in the Medium of Magnet-Plasma, and Radio Astronomy, till 1970. 
1970-1981, worked at General Machinery Research Institute of Ministry of Machine Building. As the director of laboratory, was  responsible to the project of “Ultrahigh Pressure（50-80 tons/square centimeter）High Temperature Equipment and Synthesis of Diamond”, wrote treatises, “Analysis of Equal Bulk and Equal Pressure of Liquid Supply for Six Hammers of Oil Press”, “Analyses of Synchronization of Six Hammers of Oil Press”, “Distribution of Temperature in Ultrahigh Pressure Vessel and Control of Border Temperature”, and “Techniques for Synthesis of Big Size Diamond”. This project won the Award of National Science and Technology Conference 1978. Now in China there are more than 100 companies which produce synthesis diamond.
1981-1994, worked at Beijing Printing machinery Research Institute of Ministry of Machine Building. As a professor and the technical director of the Institute, was responsible to the projects, “Measure and Control of Paper Tension of Web Offset Machine”(won Second Prize awarded by Ministry of Machine Building ), “Measurement of Radial Jumping of Rubber Roller”（won Third Prize awarded by Ministry of Machine Building）, “Analysis of Overprint Errors”, wrote treatises, “Pater Tension Equations of Web Offset Machine and Transfer Function of Pater Tension Waves”, “Inertia Compensation Action of Float Roller on Paper Tension”, “Instrument for Measuring Radial Jump of Rubber Roller”, “Calculation Method of Overprint Errors”.
1990------, works at Printing and Printing Equipment Industries Association of China, has been Standing Vice Secretary General, Secretary General, Vice Chairman and Secretary General, now is Vice Chairman Executive.
