One of Goss's Uniliner presses and a Goss Uniliner S press will increase production and printing capacity at Hong Kong publisher Sing Tao News Corporation
The new presses will be used to print Hong Kong's largest freesheet daily newspaper, Headline Daily. The addition of the Goss presses will enable Sing Tao to expand its production capability to cater for the growth of Headline Daily and will also reduce the pressure on its current production schedule allowing previously outsourced print to be brought back in-house, said Goss.
The shaftless Uniliner press to be installed at Sing Tao will have a 578mm cut-off and consist of three four-high towers, three reelstands and a 2:5:5 jaw folder.
The Uniliner S press will be configured as five four-high towers, five reelstands and a 2:5:5 jaw folder.
Both presses will run at the higher speed of 80,000 copies per hour (cph) providing Sing Tao with the flexibility and versatility to print a range of products and will be in a new purpose-built facility at the Tsuen Kwan O Industrial Estate, added Goss.

Headline Daily was launched by Sing Tao News Corporation in July 2005 and is Hong Kong's leading free newspaper with the largest circulation and readership.
