Workshop Program will educate and inform

28 March 2003. The PrintEx workshop program which debuted in 1999 was an instant success with show visitors who welcomed the opportunity to expand their industry knowledge and gain educational insights.

At PrintEx03, 40 exhibitors will take part in the free workshop program, presenting around the themes of Design and Prepress; Press and Postpress; and Workflow and Management. Each 'information' stream will run concurrently on every day throughout the show. The workshops will be conducted by both local and overseas speakers.

The workshop topics not only relate to the day-to-day print and graphics issues, but many presentations are looking beyond the improvement of print and graphic skills to the underlying management requirements for running a successful business.

"Many of the subjects which are being presented clearly demonstrate that our industry is thinking in new, dynamic and exciting ways," said Angus Scott, Chairman, PrintEx03. "The generosity of our industry colleagues in sharing their knowledge will ultimately benefit all of us and cause the 'bar to be raised' as we seek smarter, more professional ways of thinking, managing and delivering to our customers."

PrintEx03 exceeds all expectations

2 May 2003. PrintEx03 is heading for a total sell-out, with more than 180 exhibitors now confirmed C- an increase of 20 suppliers over PrintEx99. But what is even more satisfying is that half of these exhibitors are 'new to show', so visitors will have the opportunity to check out more than 90 suppliers who have not previously exhibited at PrintEx.

"During a business climate when many have suffered from the downturn caused by terrorism, Sars and the war with Iraq, such support for PrintEx03 is absolutely fantastic C- and having so many new suppliers is tremendous for our visitors who will get to see loads of new technology, products and other innovations," said Tony Farrington, Exhibition Director, PrintEx03.
