The 5th China North Printing Equipments & Materials Exhibition (Print North 2010)， sponsored by Printing and Printing Equipment Industries Association of China (PEIAC) and China International Exhibition Center Group Corporation (CIEC)， will be held from July 27th to 30th, 2010 at China International Exhibition Center.  The total show area will reach 50,000 square meters and more than 100,000 visitors will participate in this gathering.

　　Exhibition Background

　　Print North was formerly called Print Expo, which is important quadrennial printing trade fair and has been successfully held four times since 1994.  For adapting to the rapid development of printing industry and precisely describing the orientation of this exhibition, the organizers decided to rename Print Expo to Print North and it will be held every two years.

　　The word‘North’stands for 10 provinces and cities north of the Yangtze River, including Beijing, Tianjin, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Hebei, Henan and Shandong.  Print North aims to gather advanced and applicable printing machineries, services and solutions for printing industry of North China.  It will provide good business opportunities for printing professionals from home and abroad to expand market of North China.  The organizers will cooperate with related associations in printing and packaging fields to ensure a successful Print North 2010.

　　Since the reform and opening up, the printing market of North China has been experiencing a rapid developing period.  Nowadays, there are about 37,700 printing companies in the northern 10 provinces and cities, taking about 38% in the country’s total, while contributing an annual output value of about 140 billion RMB, taking 30% in the country’s output value of printing industry.  The land area of northern 10 provinces and cities is 2689 thousand square kilometers, taking 28% of the country’s total area, and the number of population is 449.56 million, taking 34.6% in country’s population.  So the northern 10 provinces and cities have favorable industrial foundation and tremendous market potential.  The objective of holding Print North exhibition is to attract domestic and oversea technology and investment to promote the healthy and rapid development of China’s northern printing industry.

　　In 2008, under the impact of global economic crisis, China’s printing industry had to suffer a decline of annual growth rate.  However, the total annual output value of printing industry still reached 475 billion RMB, increased by 7.95% from 2007.  Chinese government carried out a series of policies and measures to stimulate steady and rapid economy growth, it attained good results.  China’s economic index has begun to rebound and grown up gradually.  Since June of 2009, the situation of China’s printing industry is improving rapidly.  It is estimated that the total output value of printing industry in 2009 will increase by 8% comparing with 2008.  China's printing industry will return to the track of rapid and stable growth in 2010, which will provide an excellent opportunity for Print North 2010.

　　Print North 2010 will set up a special theme area as Digital, Inkjet and Quick Printing Pavilion.  It will be divided into eight exhibiting zones, which are respectively focusing on digital printing technology and solution, wide-format inkjet, CTP, digital printing innovation, digital printing presswork and so on.  At this theme area, visitors will experience the endless charm of digital, inkjet and quick printing technology.

　　Print North 2010 is a comprehensive printing trade fair.  The products and technologies exhibited at Print North 2010 will include prepress system and software; plate making equipment; digital printing equipment and proofing machine; offset printing equipment; Label, flexo and gravure printing equipment; screen printing and special printing equipment; inkjet printing, advertising production technology and equipment; package printing equipment; corrugated paper box and paper converting, package production equipment; finishing processes equipment and decoration equipment; printing materials, such as paper, ink, plate, rubber blanket; measuring instrument, automatic equipment and matched electromechanical products; various second-hand equipments and other services.

　　Print North 2010 will be divided into three areas, area A, area B and area C.  The price of raw space at area A is 1600 RMB/m2, and 1200 RMB/m2 at area B, 900 RMB/m2 at area C.  The space rental is quoted in RMB, and for foreign currency, please refer to the exchange rate when Participation Contract signed.  The minimum raw space is 36 m2 and the minimum standard booth is 9m2.  Additional construction fee for standard booth is 75 RMB/m2.  Moreover, the PEIAC members can get 20% discount (raw space).
