Northprint 09 will be staged from 21 to 23 April at the Harrogate Exhibition Centre in Yorkshire (UK).

IIR, the organiser of Northprint 09, says it has responded to the current challenging times in the print industry by ensuring that the show will be packed with technology and advice to give visitors practical guidance and support.

The Northprint 'Building Value in Print' initiative will see suppliers demonstrating how print firms can create and produce value-added products that boost business, adds IIR.

Visitors will see how personalised calendars, photographic and fine art, albums, cards and creative marketing material can be incorporated into a company's portfolio of services.

A full schedule of expert seminars will provide updates and guidance on topics such as 'Adding Value through Innovation' and The Business Opportunities of Web-to-Print, while companies who have introduced online print services talk about their route to success.

The BPIF will partner with Print Yorkshire to give advice on a range of management issues, such as whether printers are doing enough about their finances and how a company can be lean and cost-keen.

A printing firm's carbon footprint will also be explored, along with funding for training.

The show will feature the latest management information systems, web-to-print, workflow, printing and finishing systems for commercial, packaging and large-format applications.

Such suppliers as Apex, Konica Minolta, Ricoh and Presstek will demonstrate their digital printers.
